Quiet campground, Campsites are nicely spaced apart, clean bathrooms and a short walk to Turquoise Lake. Also just a short drive into Leadville

Beautiful campground, very clean bathrooms. Nice walk to the lake for fishing. Host was a little grumpy and non-welcoming the morning after my friends arrived at their site, which was right across from the host, at around 930pm. They simply parked their trailer.. no loud music or honking. it was a pull-through, but it took a couple of times to get it in the right spot. The wife directed the husband to pull forward or back, but other than that, no other noise. Isn't that kind of what you expect in a campground? The host walked to their camp, and said in a very condescending, motherly tone, "I'm very disappointed in you, how you came in so late and loud last night." After that, she was ok... I don't recommend getting a site close to that host, even if you're quiet, non-rowdy campers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights tent camping with our two grandsons, ages 6 and 3 1/2. Our campsite was spacious and well situated with a restroom nearby and an easy half mile hike to Turquoise Lake. After breaking camp on morning two we drove to the west end of the lake and hiked a short part of the Turquoise Lake trail as well as a walk along the lake shore. The boys enjoyed skipping rocks and learning how to make a cairn. For those looking for a robust hike the trail spans miles along the lake and through woods with great lake and mountain views. The historic town of Leadville is a short drive to the east and definitely worth a visit.

We were thrilled to discover we could actually have a fire here! And they had firewood for sale. We also appreciated that masks were expected to be worn in the bathrooms, which were very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. We loved the layout of the campground. There was one large group spread out on several sites, but they were totally quiet between 10 and 8. We will definitely be back! Turquoise Lake is beautiful! Definitely bring kayaks, canoes, SUPS or blowup boats!

I loved the campground. No water, but that wasn't a problem for us. Loved the actual campsites. Thought the camp hostess was unpleasant. We had 4 campsites reserved. Checked out of ours and went to another campsite which was reserved for that night also to have lunch on our way our. It was 12:00 noon when we got there. By 12:30 the camp hostess was nagging at us to leave, saying we weren't allowed any "day use", when all we were doing was having lunch and fixing lunch for our friend who had paid for another night. This was the second time she had gotten on our case. Quite unfriendly if you ask me.

There was no water at the campground. It’s a lot of work to bring in water for a large family. This made our camping trip very stressful.

We love the lake and the host was awesome! Not crazy about the mosquitoes but they were tolerable.
