What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained sites, and a private, quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. Many appreciated the clean facilities and helpful camp host, Rick, who enhances the experience. While some sites may be smaller than advertised and noise from nearby roads and dispersed campers can be an issue, the overall beauty and accessibility to trails and nearby lakes make it a worthwhile destination.

Very nice camp. Stayed 4 days with 8 members of my family. Close to lakes and towns. The camp-host was very kind and helpful. Also he cleaned up sites immediately after someone left. Parking is snug bug enough for my 24’ class C and Cargo trailer. Definitely will be returning here

We really enjoy this campground. We’ve been twice now and it’s always clean, quiet and has wonderful views. Plus it’s close to some amazing hiking and fishing spots.

Amazing view and large camping spots. Looks like there are bike trails that lead to the lake too!

Site has a few neighbors that are pretty close to the site. Luckily they where empty while I was there. Great cellphone service and location.

We had a lovely week at this campground! They have recently updated most of the campsites to be more accessible. The campground host, Rick I believe, was very friendly and helpful. We love this campground!

Although we didn't have the spot with the best view, we were impressed with the clean bathrooms and the well-kept camping areas. The staff that we met were friendly and they kept a close eye on the place. We would definitely go back.

Stayed for a week in July 2024. Leadville was so close were there daily. Used campground as a base for trips to Frisco, Silverthorne, Vail, Aspen, Buena Vista and Colorado Springs. Campground centrally located to all. Twin Lakes great place for kayaking and other water sports.

The camp site is very clean and a beautiful area. Ground is very hard here for stakes, but fishing twin lakes made up for it. Great fishing directly down the hill.

We enjoy Lakeview campground. Many good level sites throughout the campground but not all. Our group has met there the last 3 years and enjoy our stay but we are disappointed the water system has been out of service the last 3 years we have stayed. We have to bring or seek water while we are there. I believe we will look for different campground until they have water again.

The layout (of Loop A, at least) is small and often awkward for RVs. Sites are not graded well and are too short and close to the loop road. Pull-off angles are very difficult to back into. I had to pull into our site against the traffic flow in order to set the RV in a level position clear of trees. The sites in loop A are not very private. There's little brush or small tree cover, just a monoculture of 8-10 inch diameter spruce. The restroom was clean and the camp host was pleasant. The scenery from loop A is mostly "up" into the mountains. Overall these things are mostly nuisances if you are there for its proximity to the 14-ers, Independence Pass, fishing spots, and the lakes.
