What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained sites, and a private, quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. Many appreciated the clean facilities and helpful camp host, Rick, who enhances the experience. While some sites may be smaller than advertised and noise from nearby roads and dispersed campers can be an issue, the overall beauty and accessibility to trails and nearby lakes make it a worthwhile destination.

There is basically no flat space in this whole campground. Arrived to find that the only semi-flat spot for a (small, 2 person backpacking) tent in site F002 was way at the back of the site practically next to the fire ring of the site behind it, and even that was still roll-off-your-sleeping-pad-all-night territory. Drove around to see if I could find a better open site, but most of the others were exactly the same. I ended up setting up my tent in the gravel driveway directly in front of my car, and saw multiple others that had done the same. This would've been fine if I'd expected it, or if the sites were free/cheap, but these sites are expensive for having no water AND no good place to sleep.

Ideal location for people the seek quietness and wildnesses. No running water so just be prepared. Amazing host, Rick goes above and beyond for his guests

Such a nice campground with an absolutely beautiful view! We stayed at site E011 and had the best view in the campground in my opinion. Camp host was very kind and gave us a free parking pass for the lakes. Twin Lakes general store has firewood/ice/snacks and anything else you might need for your stay. Only downside was that you can hear the traffic from the road since it's not too far below the campground.

Too bad they still don't have water there at the camp site. Years ago when I was there it had water. We went over independence pass which was lots of fun. Need to see the cops out in Twin Lakes to catch speeders. They are lots of fun to look at.

Great site with a huge rock that's perfect for laying on and stargazing.

We stayed in site H6, which is first-come-first-served. The loop was quiet with beautiful views. We enjoyed walking a short bit of the Colorado Trail each day. The outhouses were well maintained and clean. The camp host, Rick, was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
