Beautiful campground in a great setting. Camp hosts, Bob and Carol, were wonderful and had good information about the surrounding area. The bathrooms and campgrounds were clean and well maintained! Can't wait to return.
Some previous reviews complain about the lack of water but that condition was on an alert for the campground and doesn't present a problem if you come prepared with about two gallons per day.

White Star is very nice, but water and a dump station would have been nicer.

Great host, very clean and well kept sites. Views are some of the best from a campsite. Some sites are lacking shade so be prepared on hot days.

Great campground. The facilities were amazing and the host was so friendly. Close to tons of hikes and stuff to do. Would certainly camp there again.

The sites are spread out and tree covered so it seems as close to dispersed camping as a campground can get. Bob and Carol are great hosts and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. The CT runs right next to White Star so you can ride or hike it all the way around Twin Lakes. The town of Twin Lakes is a mile away making it easy to grab some lunch

We always enjoy our visit to the White Star campground. The sites are not too close together and there are trees between some of the sites that offer some privacy. It is also a quiet campground even though it is on Twin Lakes. Fishing is also accessible and generally good.

This was an amazing camp ground!! The one thing is that the water line was under repair and they did not provide water at the host. When I called, the automated voice said that there would have been water (maybe I miss understood). Providing water would have been a big plus. Other than that the bathrooms were always clean, campers were all considerate of others, and the lakes were beautiful and clean!
