What a special place. Our campsite (#015) was great - lots of space for us to set up 2 tents and our screen tent. Great Mountain Views from the site as well. Only downside is that it's right next to the bathrooms and depending on the wind, we often got some strong smells wafting our way. We checked out Trappers Lodge which has a great happy hour and for Labor Day they had live music set up. A lot of fun.

Very nice, and off the beaten track. A 50 mile drive to the nearest town with services makes it feel isolating and that's what I like. The host kept a clean campground, but in some cases would not enforce rules like the 10 MPH speed limit or dogs having leashes. Take LOTS of bus repellant in the early summer months as the mosquitoes and biting flies are ravenous.

Lovely campground, an oasis with full-grown trees within the Big Fish Fire area of 2002, which burned more than 17,000 acres. The last time we had been in the area was before the fire so it was amazing to the long-term effects of the fire. Although the area is very beautiful and green with ground-level growth and small flowers, it's amazing to see such a large area without tree growth among the standing skeletons of trees that burned 20 years ago.
