Sheppards Rim Camp is really nice. Tim the camp host is really nice. He takes really good care of the site.
I went with friends and we had campsites 10, 11, 12. My site was 12 and it was fairly flat for a tent. There is a slight slope/lean, but not a big deal. Curbside style vehicle pull up parking, which could fit 2 vehicles or 1 vehicle w/trailer. The spot is next to a small wetland/marsh so it can be a bit buggy. Quickly about the other sites, 10 is pretty much like 12, however tent spot has a lean and no other spots to move on the site. Between the three sites IMO 11 was the best for us. It is interior to the camp site and was very large. Could possibly squeeze 3 vehicles. We based our whole setup here. Lots of room for popups and tents. For best views sites, 2 -8 has the best.
There is plenty of hiking trails and fishing spots.
You can paddle board or canoe, but be prepared to hike them in on your back to the water.
No cell service

First time staying here, and it was a great experience. The campsite and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Tim was a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. We loved the convenient access to the lakes and Trappers Lodge. We boondocked in our fifth wheel and had an excellent stay. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a great campground with a super nice host. Vault toilets are very clean. Sites 5, 6, 7, and 8 with nice views are our favorites. Food at Trapper’s Lake Lodge is wonderful, too.
