Campground was well maintained. Initially men’s bathroom was clean no odor, however after 2nd day it had an odor that never left the rest of our stay.

Camp Hosts Ken and Kim are fantastic.
They really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and want to return.
All of the grounds ,restrooms and campsites are always clean and ready for the next guests.

The outhouses smell terrible…seriously I think it’s a health hazard (smells like amonia). They are clean (thank you host) but evidently they use a some sort of composting technology and the ventilation fan has been broken since at least the summer of 2022.

We love this campground, with all of the lakes to kayak and fish. The camp host's are always so pleasant.
The only downside I would say was the the latrines were very full and very smelly. Last year when we went that was not the issue. Otherwise all was good. We will be back. It's become a favorite.
If you could just do something about the Mosquitos. LOL.

Such a beautiful place and the campground hosts, as well as the people you meet on the trails and the owners at Mesa Lake Lodge - great experience. We caught several trout and loved every minute -- will be back!

The restrooms were horrendous! The vaults were close to being full, they smelled of chemicals and feces, bugs were everywhere and they weren’t well cleaned!!! There was constant terrible vehicle pollution from Hwy 65. A pipe had broken so there wasn’t any potable water. It wasn’t ANYTHING like I had hoped it would be!!!
The campsites were clean and raked nicely when we arrived. The lakes behind the campground had fish literally jumping out of the water and were easy to catch! The mesquites are prevalent but that is to be expected on the Mesa so a mesh tent over your dining area is recommended!
I have been to some wonderful campgrounds at Recreation.gov. But this WASN’T one of them!!!!!
