Great campground in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

We had almost no net on the campsite.
If you hike Warner Point there is good net on top of it

The park was amazing. We loved the connection to the hiking trails right off loop C and reccomend doing all of the south rim trails. The trees and foliage around the campsite made it feel more private, but there was still easy access to the bathrooms and potable water.

Great views and trails! Leveling blocks are needed at most campsites. East Portal road is a very steep switchback road so low gear and good brakes are a must. All of the overlooks are great.

Loved the Black Canyon. The Rim Canyon drive is easy to navigate with stellar views along the way. Also enjoyed the upland hike from the Visitors Center to the Campground. Beautiful with lots of birds.

Mountain top campground. The campground has three loops. We were in movie which was electrical hook up. There is no dump station or potable water to fill your RVs at this national park. There are water fill stations throughout the campground for your water bottles. They also have pit toilets.

Nice sites with accessible bear boxes. Sites were quite small and little shade.

The South Rim Campground was perfect! Obviously very well located in the beautiful Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, but also a great, secluded site in the park as well. Perfect for a solo travler.

Black Canyon was fantastic. Our hike to Gunnison River was amazing. Camping on South Rim was excellent as well. What a clean and outstanding place to camp, hike, and explore. I loved it. Colonel Gary Hisle
