Beautiful campgrounds (Loop B, partial hook-ups), spaced to maximize privacy. Clean vault toilet, and there is a drinking water station for each loop. Area well-patrolled by friendly Park personnel. Great base for exploring all trails in Park--every one of which was marked and maintained, making our treks (100 ft. to 2 mi.) more enjoyable. Black Canyon N.P. is too spectacular for words or pictures...you gotta go! We recommend 2 or 3 night trip to do most trails.

Amazing views whether you are at the rim or whether you hike into the canyon like we did. Do the Gunnison wilderness into the canyon trail (only 15 people allowed per day, it is worth the wait in line the day before to get a pass)

Enjoyed our stay very much but wish the road down to the river hadn't been closed.

Very nice and clean campground. We just wish there are more shaded sites and bigger tent pads for most of the campsite. Overall, we are very happy with the campground and created a lot of DarkSky memories..
