We had a delightful stay for three days. Even though the water was low, had a great time hiking.

This was our third time to Arapaho Bay and we loved being closer to the water at #56. But it was early June and the water was really receded for this time of year. We made the best of the wonderful experience that we had going to Monarch Lake and kayaking on Lake Granby.

We had a beautiful well maintained campsite. The pull in site was level and easy to pull into. We were warned ahead of time to bring our own water as the water was not turned on due to the late season snow and freezing temperature.
The campsite managers were friendly and helpful.

We stayed 6/6/21, site 041 in Mora loop. This site felt very private and shielded from the view of other sites, due to the placement of trees. Nice and shaded, we were able to hang our hammock directly behind our tent. Restrooms are directly behind this site, just need to be careful going down a slight hill to get there. Camp host was sweet gentleman who came over to introduce himself & let us know there was no water on site, but we were prepared for this before hand. Wildlife abounds- saw moose, chipmunks. Caught a nice rain shower, these are common in this area in afternoon. We definitely want to revisit next year. We reserved this site late Jan 2021, by then most sites were reserved so mark your calendar early!

Lake was really low, but the fish were more condensed. We caught all fish between 2-4 lbs, even some lake trout, which we have never been able to catch before. There was a bear that kept getting into the trash bin, I got a video of him getting in one morning, and my husband chased him off. I did see 2xs, children under the age of 6, unaccompanied, by an adult, wondering around the hill, where the bear ran off. Please, Please, Please, parents, be aware of your children at the campsites. Don't let them play and wonder off without you.
Weather was a little cool this time of year, but we had a good time.
