The site we camped at was awesome with views and being secluded. The one thing we didn't count on was that we had to hike our belongings and camping gear up a hill. If that was communicated we could of better planned or if there could have been carts or wheelbarrows to use that would have been helpful. Otherwise, we loved that site.

My kids had the bear time here! They had our name on our spot when we arrived, it's clean and we explored so much! Being next to the lake was also a huge plus!

I have been camping at Arapaho Bay since I was a kid & got to take my kids there & loved it as much as I remember! We were able to secure a nearby site for my brother’s family as well the day he was coming & during peak season! It got colder at night than we expected, but the lake and waterfall (visible from the bridge near the backcountry trail) were gorgeous!!

We loved our campsite! (Moraine Loop, site #50). It was it its own corner where we could not see other campers at all. It is near the road but not too close and really not a bad noise level ever. We really felt like we were secluded but also on site and loved the privacy. We definitely recommend this campsite

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Stay at the campsite you reserved; swapping is not permitted.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- No water connections or utility hookups for RVs.
Wildlife & food storage
- Keep your campsite clean and avoid food attractants to ensure safety from bears.
Safety & rules
- All boats must be inspected to prevent invasive species.
Fees & deposits
- Admission fees apply for the Arapaho National Recreation Area: $5 for one day, $10 for three days, $15 for a week, $30 for a year.
Site capacity
- Some sites may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of reservation start or will be re-rented.
- Tents must be set up on the designated pads.

Fires & fuel
- Obtain firewood locally and burn it on-site to prevent harmful organisms.
- Fire restrictions may apply during hot, dry weather; campfires might be prohibited.

- Extra vehicles incur a fee of $8 per vehicle per night, payable to the camphost.
- Vehicles must fit on the designated parking spur; off-road parking is not allowed.
Pets
- All pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
