This campground is situated by Shadow Mountain Lake in a beautiful valley. The campground is very clean with paved roads and very easy to get to. The campground has flush toilets and sinks to wash your hands and the bathrooms were very clean. The campground site provided a spacious bear box for food items which we appreciated. There are little trails around the campground that get you to the creek that runs off of the lake. The host, Terry, was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a great recommendation for The Rapids restaurant in Grand Lake which we tried. The restaurant is literally next to the river and served great food and drinks! We will definitely go back!

My only concern with this campground was the lack of enforcement of the stage 2 fire ban. Despite very intense signage, we saw multiple folks with fires at their campsites both nights we were there, and the camp hosts didn't seem to be aware. We tried to tell them but couldn't find them. Otherwise, the location is pretty and offers great access to the lake. We got decent cell service as well, which was a surprise. There was one place with flush toilets, but in my opinion, that building was grosser than the outhouses, so we preferred those. We'd return, especially for the lake views.

Very quiet and well-maintained campground. We were in a spot at the far eastern end of the B loop - very satisfied with the amount of space between our spot and the adjacent ones. Campground host 'Gary' came by soon after we arrived to deliver parking pass and info flyer - very friendly. Closest toilet - 2 minute walk - was one of the cleanest vault toilets I've encountere - and was always well stocked with toilet paper.

Place was great, clean. I didn't catch any fish but could take my dog for a little hike including about 10 -15 feet into RMNP that said dogs not allowed so my dog could say he did it
