What Guests Are Saying
Camp Dick is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and beautiful, well-spaced campsites. Visitors enjoyed the excellent hiking and fishing opportunities, with sightings of wildlife like moose enhancing the experience. However, some noted issues with rough access roads, noise from ATVs, and inconsistent water availability, which could detract from the overall enjoyment.

The sites are clean and raked. The fire pits could be cleaned out better. But something has to be done about the smelly bathrooms (pit toilets') they stink to high heaven!!! You just want to throw up going in there. Even the air fresheners I brought and put in them did not help, the fly traps I added seemed to be working. When American Leisure folks were the hosts this wasn't a problem. the bathrooms always smelled fresh and inviting. Although the hosts did clean the bathrooms daily they still smelled horrible!! Maybe the hosts need to use a better cleaner or Maybe they just need emptied out more often or the vents need checked, something. It's a wonderful campground otherwise. Linda

We have been to Camp Dick for years, This was the first trip of the summer during the week so it was quiet and clean. They had a active crew upgrading the fire pits and a moose sighting to add some entertainment.

Great campground - but you definitely want a site on the back loop in my opinion (which we had, and it was quiet and lovely). Many of the sites on the main road are more exposed / have less shade and you've got people driving by frequently as there's a trailhead with day-use parking nearby. Bathrooms were cleaned 2x/day. We would definitely return to this site!

Camp host kept the restrooms very clean and well stocked.
The trail connecting Camp Dick to peaceful Valley was somewhat difficult to hike because of downed trees across the trail.
Moose was spotted near our campsite almost daily.
