Camp Dick

We stayed in site #12 which was a large double site. The tent pads and table area were spacious, level and gravel covered. The neighboring sites were not too close. We enjoyed the close proximity of the river, which looked like a perfect place to catch trout. This site is next to the restroom which I appreciated for late night visits and I was elated that the smell did not carry into our space. Speaking of the restrooms, they were kept clean and well stocked! There were hiking and mountain biking trails—we brought our e-bikes and didn’t find much use for them as the trails are more suited for proper off road tires. Out of three Colorado campgrounds that we tried out this summer, this was by far our favorite.

The campsites were well maintained and clean. The restrooms were clean. Thank you Hosts.
The Middle St Vrain trail is a very nice hike - a little hilly.

beautiful campground, spot 30 was tucked away and private feeling. hiking trails directly behind the site. loved it.

The camp was quiet and scenery beautiful. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen. I really appreciated that they filled the potholes on the road.

This is a beautiful campsite with great hiking that starts from the sites.
A downside is that two of the three water stations, next to the bathrooms, are not functional, so it's best to bring as much water from home as possible. We did find a working tap beyond the parking lot for the 4-wheel drive road beyond the campground.

Nice campground! Sites along the outside are nicer than the ones inside the loop (those on the inside are out in the open). Be bear aware. A bear mosied through the campground in the morning checking out sites to see if anyone left any food out!

We wanted to get away from the City for a couple of days. Beautiful campsite. Were in out 70's and love to walk the dog. It was so nice, camp sites were not so close together. We could visit the stream without disturbing anyone, wanted to stay longer.

Great experience here - got a FF site on the river - so beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Camp hosts were great, toilets were super clean and actually smelled good. Other campers were friendly and whole campsite was very quiet. Will be back for sure.

Overall, a pleasant, dry camping campground with nice hiking trails nearby. I'd suggest looking at a topographical map of the campground when choosing your site; ours was at the bottom of an incline, where rainwater collected into a big puddle.

Beautiful campsite. The trees smell wonderful. The water was off throughout the park. The toilets were clean but the trash cans would not secure. The camp hosts were friendly but the woman host was smoking outside in spite of the fire ban. She also had a very unfriendly and aggressive dog. Other campers were too noisy and way too many off leash dogs that were not under voice control for me and my dog to enjoy walking around. It became way too stressful for me so I left.
