We love Chambers Lake and try to go yearly. The water was still high so the fishing wasn't much, but the weather was perfect, the stars fantastic. The camp hosts were not as good as last year.

Beautiful clean campground! Lake was gorgeous but didn't have any bites while trying to fish. Definite chill in the air at this elevation - to be expected. Did wake up to picnic table having frost/ice on it. Brrrr!

We have been going to chambers lake for years . The staff was great, campground is becoming a bit beat up. Picnic tables need attention, fresh coat of paint. Fire rings should be cleaned out. The staff was the youngest that I can remember and they were great. Bathrooms were well taken care of. The weather had to be the best that I can remember for the last 10 years.

Clean. Quite. Perfect.
The only thing at Chambers Lake is the camp host was not to be seen so if you need something, it may take longer than expected. We also noticed that many sites were reserved with no occupants during the time they were reserved. Sadly, these beautiful sites could have been used by others seeking vacancies for a last-minute getaway. This is a problem I see with reserve only campgrounds. People rush to reserve (because they go fast), then don't show up.

Hi, Just be warned that this site is quite difficult to back a trailer in. I have a 20 ft travel trailer and had to get help from several friendly campers. There is a tree on the left and one on the right that has grown right into the parking pad. I would not recommend this site for any travel trailers.
Otherwise the site was fine. Nice and clean. Not very private but I didn't sit outside much do to the rain. Might be fun for a group if you got all 3 sites surrounding it.

The double site we had was a very nice site with nicely built tent pads, plenty of parking, and a great view. The down side was that the dumpster (right next to our parking) was overflowing and wasn't emptied until the day we left. Consequently, the flies were horrendous. The fire pit hadn't been cleaned out in a while and had trash and broken glass in it. The vault toilet was cleaned regularly, but in poor physical condition (i.e. missing signs, no coat hook, door didn't close well). I would have given a higher score if some of the deferred maintenance had been kept up. Chambers is a beautiful campground, well laid out, with great views, but due to its heavy usage it needs more time and money spent on maintenance by the USFS and/or Land & Leisure.

Great campground with clean sites and facilities. The lake was fantastic and we hiked Blue Lake Trail which is only a few minutes down the road. Stayed at site #35 (double site) and had a great stay with plenty of room and no bugs. Fellow campers were respectful and the whole campground was relatively quiet at night. Easy access to the lake for kayaking and hanging by the water's edge.

The campground and surrounding area are pristine. The vault toilets were the cleanest I've ever encountered.
