Made reservations two months in advance and got updates and confirmations from rec.gov and when we arrived our site sign said open site please see host. So glad no one actually took our site , and we were never able to find and talk to the camp hosts even though they had a bus set up in the host site we never saw them.

The camp hosts were nice. The restrooms were clean. We had a great view, peaceful night. WIsh there was a little more water, but we did catch and ate a couple of trout. With the lake being so low, it was hard to find a place to launch the paddle boards without carrying them. But being by the inlet was nice bird watching.

This is a nice campground. Bathrooms were clean and stocked and it was very quiet mid-week.

We loved our visit to Chambers Lake! We appreciate all the trees in the campground. Because of the low water level it was necessary to walk a little farther and down an embankment to launch our blow up kayak and SUPs.

It would of been nice to have dumpsters with a metal lid instead of plastic to keep bears out
