The location was beautiful. Lots of great campsite options available. The bathrooms were well maintained and the camp host was very kind

I start this by saying that I should have done more research about the lake itself and the area. No one goes in this water, they go on it. My bad. However, lots of bugs, more than were used to in Colorado made but made bug spray a constant requirement. We were here for four days and never met the camp host in spite of watching him drive by multiple times, which is atypical. Also had the unfortunate experience of having to tell multiple thing bits (8-10 yo) that it was not on to harass and abuse chipmunks with slingshots and nets only to have their Neanderthal father come and defend them. My daughter and I didn't feel particularly safe in this campground because of this combination of issues and considered leaving early. Probably a fine place to go to fish and not follow rules and laws but we don't be back.

Chambers Lake is beautiful, I enjoyed my stay but wanted to stay longer and was told the rules were changed. They said if there was a reservation for four days and nobody showed up within those couple of days I could not take their spot. I was able to stay one night extra, It would be nice if people don’t show up that people that are there and want to stay longer could stay. Thank you.

We camp at Chambers Lake several times a year . You must reserve months ahead of time to get a spot . Campsites are far apart and campground is kept clean . Lake is beautiful and fun to fish .

Wonderful privacy. A very clean campground. No hookups and no phone service until Walden 37 miles west or Bellvue 51 miles east, but if you want a nice experience in the forest without distractions, this is the place to be.
