Campground host not fullfilling their duties as the campfire pit was fairly full of ashes, they locked 1 restroom with a sign "Out of Order" (how can a vault toilet be out of order??) & the open one had no toilet paper. & we saw them stop twice in their golfcart without cleaning, just looking. We have annually camped here & love this campground but this year's hosts are not the best.

Campsites need some work. Was very rainy during out 3 night stay, and two of our 3 sites became rivers/lakes. Water from the main road was just rushing into the sites due to poor grading. There are also stairs to "no-where" and parts under the timbers that have just been eroded away due to water. The camp hosts were not very friendly this time. Also - there was a ton of trash left in the fire pit of our site on arrival. Overall a fun trip, but this campground is in desperate need of some TLC.

I booked campsite #20. When I booked online, it looked like there was more space between site #20 and #21. When I arrived, I saw that campsite #22 was immediately next to our tent pad. It was too close. There was no privacy. The firepit is positioned so that you have to sit and stare at the cars parked instead of looking out at nature. THe campsite hostess was initially not very friendly. She arrived the first morning after we arrived and lectured to us about bears and having to put away our cooler and our campstove. I didn't mind hearing that we had to put things away but her delivery and tone was very parental. She didnt even bother asking where we were from. She announced that she drove around the campsite at 6am and saw that our cooler and campstove was out. it made us feel that she was going to "check on us" or spy on us during our stay. She became friendlier as the next 2 days passed. Her husband was very nice. On the Friday evening of our weekend, campsite #21 had 3 families staying there. There were 6 adults, 5 very small children and a dog that would not stop barking. There were way too many people for a campsite that was so close to ours. I won't choose that campsite again, and i will consider not returning to Cold Springs. I picked up little bits of trash around our campsite our entire stay - little rubberbands, caps of water bottles. It could have been a cleaner site for teh amount of money we paid and basically living on top of other campers.

Camp hosts are so amazing - beautiful area - close to amazing hiking - beautiful views from the vista - only complaint is that there is some road noise and other campers running generators after hours, but overall terrific place!!
