Dowdy Lake is a great place to spends few days in the fresh mountain air. The lake is beautiful, the campsites clean and shady, and there's plenty of space between sites. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Take Poudre Canyon for a scenic route to the Red Feather Lakes area or 74E for a simple way to get there.
Kayaking is the best way to explore the rock formations in the lake and fishing is good too.

Campground in wonderful condition. Easy access to site, lake and facilities. Bathroom facilities very clean and had lights! Made it much easier to use after dark. Fellow campers very respectful of quiet hours.
