The hosts were phenomenal!!! They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. This site is such a dream. The setting is beautiful. The bathrooms are the cleanest we’ve had at any campsite. We will definitely be returning.

The hosts were phenomenal!!! They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. This site is such a dream. The setting is beautiful. The bathrooms are the cleanest we’ve had at any campsite. We will definitely be returning.

Very nice campground, helpful campground hosts. There are great trails around both Dowdy and West Lakes. One morning I even encountered a moose! There are many fisherman, kayakers and paddleboarders who use the lake but I never found it too crowded. The only negative comment I have was there were a lot of barking dogs. The campsite adjacent to mine had 4 dogs which I felt was too many.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
