Campsites not right next to each other, clean restrooms, very nice campground

Terrific campground. We saw lots of deer, baby owls and an eagle. Restrooms are very clean.

We took our motorhome for two nights (we go there once or twice a year) and had to move for the second night. The host was very obliging when we asked to change sites to a prettier one which was open. The sites were as clean as they could be--even the pine cones were swept away! Friendly neighbors. We purposely left before the busy holiday weekend.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
Dowdy Lake is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles from Fort Collins. From Highway 287, the route continues on County Road 74 for about 23 miles before reaching Dowdy Lake Road.
