Very nice sites with ample amenities. The privacy was okay given the crowd, since the campground was completely full. The location on the river should have been ideal except for the very busy highway. The hikes were cool. We had a good time. We probably won't come back to this location.

This is our 3rd camping trip, but by far our favorite! Great hiking trails (the one we did was tough). We stayed in 001, Bear Loop and it was shaded enough and just a beautiful spot. We were very close to the restrooms and the campsite was small but not too small. Enough room for our 15ft pop up camper. The Poudre is beautiful and hearing the rushing water, there's no place like it. Highly recommend. Take lots of bug spray, because the flies were biting and the bugs were out full force. Lots of wildlife too (deer, hummingbirds, chipmunks, etc.) Great place, lots to do and see.

We come back year after year because of how well maintained everything is, toilets are always clean. We've camped in the Group Camping area, and in the individual spaces and have enjoyed the river, the view, the trails, we will continue to come back yearly.

We have stayed in MP dozens of times and really like the location. The group spot was fun and maintained okay. We were disappointed by the building, the fireplace has been out of order for years due to not being cleaned. The state takes our tax money to provide these locations. Then they charge us to stay, which I fully understand but spent the $4-500 and get the fireplace cleaned would really enhance the the experience, so we can enjoy the place more. Great hiking and really close to the river. Two other disappointing things, the garbage truck came through at 0700 on Monday and the next day at 0800 they were chipping wood right next to the spot. It’s a fun spot but not the event we expected. Very clean, camp hosts cleaned the bathroom 3 times a day, trails were well maintained, great people running the place.

Other concerns:
Many people driving through the camp site, sometimes at a speed higher than I wanted.
Volleyball courts has landscape barrier sticking through the sand that makes it hard to play

Likes:
Many animals
Great location, no cell service
Close to a store
Awesome hiking
Good wadding spots
Lots of tables
Close to water
Great walking places
Playground
Bathroom on site
Bear boxes are great for storage, still haven’t seen a bear.
