Would have been nice if they told loud groups this is camping, not a fiesta.

Very disappointed that our campsite was not raked and the fire pit was not cleaned out, I had to do this myself before I could use it. Also disappointed with the water in the shower were cold no hot water. This is the first time Donna and Bill were not in the area anyymore. Just very disappointed in the 4 years we ha been coming to this camp ground.

Here's my asessment of site 24:

What I liked:
- Close, but not too close, to trash, restrooms, and showers.
- Double site with 2x pads for tents, but noting you pay 2x for this.
(Note: In the photo of this site, there's a blue and white tent on the right. That's one of the tent pads. The other pad is hard to see, but on the left back behind the fire pit).
- Can't hear the cars from the main highway.
- Very clean like all the campsites in this camground.

What I didn't prefer:
- Too close to other sites.
- Shady in the morning then very sunny from mid afternoon and evening; wish it was the opposite.
Note: In the photo of this site, it looks like it was taken about noon. You can see most the the site is in the sun except the far left (far left faces east). As the day goes on all is in the sun until about 7pm or so. If you like lots of shade, this is not your site.

Finally, I was concerned that traffic within the campground may be an issue since this specific site is near the very front where almost all have to drive by. But that was not an issue.

Wonderful campground for families! The camp hosts were very helpful. River is flowing pretty fast but still able to fish and take a dip in slower spots. We will be back!

This was one of my favorite campgrounds and site 32 was one of my favorite sites. The check-in checkout times are reasonable and the campground is so clean! Very private sites. #32 did have steps to get to the table and fire pit so keep that in mind for mobility issues. The tent pad was flat and level. Sites 37-39 were right on the river so next time I will try for one of those but you can’t go wrong anywhere. We mountain biked and hiked - there’s a great view if you go up to the ridge. Beautiful Colorado campground.

So love MP campground. Been going there since I was a young lad. We were a little disappointed the showers were not working but we made the most of it and made more campfires to cover up our body odor. Haha. Place was clean and well groomed as usual. We will definitely be back!
