The camp host this year is awful. Our site was disgusting, the fire pit had trash in it, the site was littered in garbage. There are downed trees and limbs littering everywhere including the entrance. Gross to say the least. My family was also staying in the campground and there were bones left in their site from the previous group. The host should have raked and cleaned that. This is all in addition to the fact that the bathrooms were unbearable. Dead flys everywhere, hadn’t been pumped since last season, just nasty. I understand this is camping but I have been coming to this camp ground every year, multiple times a year, for 30 years and have never seen it so bad. The “host” didn’t update the signage on our post but ONCE A WEEK so half the time it didn’t even read the right people. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

We truly enjoyed this campground! This was our first trip with our new hitch trailer and we were excited it was at this campground.

The only “complaint” we had about our last stay is not everybody followed the rules by keeping their dogs on a leash.

This was without a doubt, the cleanest, best run, friendly staff in a national forest campsite that I have ever experienced. The individual campsite was spotless, the twilight facilities were clean and not smelly. The shower was in excellent condition as were the sinks. The multiple water spigots were in working order and, conveniently located. The staff was friendly and the campground was extremely quiet.

Beautiful campground along the Cash la Poudre River to unplug and enjoy nature! There is no cell, wifi, or TV service. Beware to bring your fresh water tank full and gray and black tanks empty. There is no dump and no water faucet to fill fresh water tanks. There are water faucets to fill water containers. There are showers available, however, no flush toilets, just vault toilets.
There are two hiking trails that are challenging and one much shorter within the campground that is great for families and those who want a nice walk.
Eight miles west is Glenn Echo Resort that has wifi and cell service as well as a restaurant, convenience/gift shop in addition to a campground.
Approximately ten miles to the east is Mishawaka, a music venue with a lovely deck overlooking the Cash la Poudre River, where you can order lunch and if lucky see rafters go by.

The only electric site available to reserve was #31. When I arrived, I saw why. This should not be listed as a site at all. I have a 32 foot class C. If I parked far enough away from the raised site ( approx. 2 ft.) to allow my electric step to deploy, when I extended my slide on the street side, it would be at severe risk of being hit by vehicles coming around the curve. Realizing I could not stay there safely, I looked around and was able to use another site that has been reserved on paper but the people never showed up (this is an ongoing problem with most campgrounds). The people managing the campground were helpful in allowing me to find a suitable site.
