What Guests Are Saying
Narrows Campground offers a beautiful setting next to a relaxing river, with well-maintained and clean facilities, including restrooms and bear-proof food lockers. While some sites lack shade, they are spaced well for privacy and have great access to fishing and hiking. However, issues with unclear reservation signage and occasional pest problems have been noted, but overall, visitors look forward to returning for the enjoyable camping experience.

Nice campsite down by the river and far enough away from the road to not hear the cars coming up the canyon. Well spaced sites, but not much shade so you need to bring your own. Clean pit toilets and well maintained facilities.

Narrows is a desirable campground. "Reserved" signs were in place for 2-3 nights and noone was camped. Based on my understanding of the rules, the camper has 24 hours to occupy the site or forfeit the reservation. This is reasonable; however, it appears the camp hosts do not flip the sign to "Open" after the 24 hour no show (ie after 2pm the next day). Camping is a great experience and getting a reservation is (as you know) challenging. So many people/families are denied the opportunity needlessly .....ie this situation is avoidable by training the hosts to implement/enforce the reservation 24 hour (2pm-2pm) rule.

Would have been an amazing trip except for 2 things that were not in our control. First.. we had a lot of biting flies at our site!! Citronella and bug spray didn’t seem to help. Second. There was a large group that took up 1 site with a trailer and 4 tents that were running their generator and yelling until after midnight.

We were able to experience this year's high water mark from the vantage of our site. The river was mesmerizing and the sound wonderful! Great site, small pathway to the creek and along its banks. Very clean restrooms. Great time of year to visit, had the whole campground to ourselves on the last day!! Great starting point to visit Rustic, Cameron Pass and Red Feather Lakes area.

I checked into my campsite after 5:00pm. When I check on the campfire ring, it was not only full of ashes, but there was still live/hot coals in the campfire ring. There was not a campground host in the campground nor did I see one drive by while I was there. I wish the company who is managing the campground took forest fires seriously. Perhaps they are more focused on profit.
