What Guests Are Saying
Narrows Campground offers a beautiful setting next to a relaxing river, with well-maintained and clean facilities, including restrooms and bear-proof food lockers. While some sites lack shade, they are spaced well for privacy and have great access to fishing and hiking. However, issues with unclear reservation signage and occasional pest problems have been noted, but overall, visitors look forward to returning for the enjoyable camping experience.

Clean easy access campsite next to a beautiful river. Campsites are spread out enough to provide a little privacy.

Nice campground. We have stayed here before. The sounds of the river help drowned out all other noises and makes sleeping very pleasant.

I love this campground. Been there about four times now. So glad the Cameron Peak fire missed it! There's plenty of shade and the campsites are so close to the river. The parking is convenient and there are several nature trails and hikes nearby. The water pump wasn't working so we got water from Upper Narrows but it was a bit rusty so we drove over to Mountain Park for water. The stars are amazing at night and it is peaceful and quiet except for the natural sound of the flowing river. The hosts kept the bathrooms clean and stocked. Didn't see too much wildlife but there were a lot of bugs at night (summer nights). Will definitely go back.

great campground with VERY clean pit restrooms. They need to keep the grass cut though as ou could not access picnic tables and all trails were overgrown as it appeared grass had not been cut in over a month.

We didn't like the space and had to pay again for a replacement space. That doesn't seem right.

This was an outstanding place to camp in late July. The Lower Narrows CG is nice in many ways - of course it's right next to the Poudre River, but it's also tent-only, which offers a bit more to the peace without proliferation of generators and noise from the RV crowd. It's well-maintained; bathrooms are nice, parking spaces are wide, and the camp host would rake the tent pads in between occupants. The sites DO feature bear-boxes, which is convenient because the sites are a short walk from the parking lot. Sites pads are smaller, and surrounded by rocky terrain. I found staking down into the dirt to be difficult - very hard pads. There is a well at this campground to draw water, which I thought was really neat and unique to this place.
Looking forward to coming back again! This is one of my favorite campgrounds up the Poudre Canyon.
