We always enjoy our time at West Lake. I wish to commend the camp host for his handling of a neighboring camp guest who became belligerent with us when we were subjected to their constantly barking dogs (2). The female guest used profane and threatening language toward a member of our family. The host, who personally witnessed the abusive behavior of the woman, summarily evicted the guest and her husband. He handled the situation calmly but quickly and with authority. Our family then felt safe to continue our remaining time at the park. This experience showed me the necessity of the presence of the camp host and their commitment to protect those of us who are there to peacefully enjoy the camping experience. Thanks,Paul.

Awesome site and great views. Site#23 is pull through with good shed from sunlight. Very bright though. Very close to Washrooms.
Thoroughly clean. Kind Camp Patrol team. Was not able to stay overnight but yes worth visiting.
Nice loop parallel to the lakeside. Very easy for kids even. We can view Dowdy lake while on the loop.
Got good Mint Mobile Coverage, 5G constant.

This is our favorite place to camp. Very frustrating to get reservations and then come up and find one tenter in a double site. Tent sites need power to allow more trailers in trailer sites. Bathrooms are not near as clean as Sharon and Tom kept them all the past years.

Love this campground. Could use more road base. Very dusty but otherwise host is great and keeps the campground spotless.

The campground was clean and quiet. Being right on the lake was a plus.

Good overall campground, lots of day use, but the campsites are above the water level, so even the least private are still acceptable. Site 28 (and 27) are right next to the day use parking lot, and share the day use outhouse. It is also right next to the grocery store- great for day trips for ice cream sandwiches, bad due to the commercial lighting all night long. I’d call it a draw, and would do it again, if that’s the kind of trip I wanted. Good afternoon shade, no morning shade in site 28.

Everything was great. I only have a couple of suggestions. First, put the bear proof boxes where they get optimum shade. Ours was in the sun the whole day and very hot inside. Second, provide jacket hooks and a shelf in the bathroom. There should be diaper changing stations in the bathroom as well.

Camping sites are clean and well maintained with full electric hookup which is nice . but the campground road is dusty and the highway noise is sometimes loud.

We love West Lake. It's always much quieter than it's neighboring lakes. For our Memorial Day trip, there were plenty of trout to catch.
