What Guests Are Saying
Collegiate Peaks is a beautiful, well-maintained campground near Buena Vista, offering large, private sites and exceptionally clean restrooms. Visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, proximity to hiking trails and hot springs, as well as the presence of wildlife. While some sites may not be level and there were occasional issues with water quality and host availability, the overall experience remains positive, with many campers eager to return.

We had a lovely site. The potties were super clean the whole time. A lot of the spots are far enough apart that you don't hear much from your neighbors, which is nice. There weren't a ton of people with generators either which we always like!

I really love this campground- it's clean, the bathrooms are clean, it's not noisy, and it's close to a lot of places. This is our second time however and both campsites we've tried are not level- it makes for a really hard night's sleep when you're sleeping slanted.

Park host is excellent and very engaged and present. Campground is impeccably clean and our site was raked and super clean. You can hear the babbling stream from this site when the other campers aren't running generators. It's a nice small campground. I couldn't really hear the road traffic although you're a bit closer here to the road than at Chalk Lake campground down the road. Really all three campgrounds just are so lovely. Thank you!

We had a great time here. This is our second staying at this campground and we absolutely loved it. The campground is wooded and quiet most of the time, and is very close to Buena Vista, Cottonwood Pass and hiking trailheads. The star gazing was excellent. The bathrooms were clean and the host was very friendly.

This campsite is always so nice. The grounds are well maintained and the bathrooms are the cleanest ever! We’ve been twice and will definitely book again for next year
