I love this place. The campsites are awesome and the rangers(staff) are super friendly. It's super windy sometimes but great overall

Mostly good, but we had neighbors who liked to party late and our 4 year old cut his foot really bad on a piece of glass. If you go in the water at all, make sure you wear shoes!! The lake is very pretty!

This site is listed incorrectly on the campground map. It looks like its on the water, where as it is nowhere near the water. Site #33.
In fact its up on the hill by the campsite host. Be aware, as if you cancel because of poor map guidance, you still have to pay cancellation fees, for something that is Rec.gov's fault!

The views are great but it is not a great spot for tent camping. The wind was TERRIBLE. We had a worse than average wind weekend per those with more experience there but it is not unusual. Many tents got broken and it was impossible to sleep with the wind whipping the tent fly. Also lots of RVs and generators and very full campsites (RV plus tents) so it was quite noisy with parties. Not that the parties kept us up with the wind but still. Bathrooms were very clean.

Great campsite right on the edge of a lake! Can swim or bring your own kayak/canoe, which we did and was so nice. Clean campgrounds and can hear cows off in the distance. Fantastic view of stars at night!

This place is beautiful. It is always so nice to be able to camp so close to the water. Bathrooms could have definitely had more attention. We have been here multiple times and have always paid ahead online. For some reason this visit, there was a camp host who came around and said that when you pay online, it didnt include the cost for a 2nd vehicle. He said they don't accept credit cards, which the entire thing was very sketchy. He said we needed to pay again for the second vehicle, and you could only pay in cash. If that's the case, they should label that on the website. I didnt trust the fact of someone saying you need to pay more money, and only cash. Just seems sketchy and seeming like someone is taking advantage. We will be back since we go here each year as a family, but the website needs to explain the additional fees, if it even was a valid thing.
