What Guests Are Saying
Cow Creek South offers beautiful views and a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, making it a favorite for many visitors. However, low water levels this season made lake access difficult, and some campers experienced noisy neighbors and challenges with the wind. Overall, the location is appreciated for its natural beauty and spacious sites, though visitors are encouraged to plan their trips for earlier in the year for better conditions.

the water was so low and the shore was like quick sand mud so it was very hard to get to the water. plus the boat ramp was closed for the season due to water level so didn’t get a chance to use my kayak or anything /: otherwise it was beautiful

The host was really great & the bathrooms were very clean + didn’t stink at all! The lake of course is sadly very low this year, most places to get in were just a muddy mess - hopefully next year water will be better! There was of course some entitled camper that thought they didn’t have to leash their dogs & tried to attack ours, but besides that — it was great!

Always love coming to this spot but keep in mind, with the dry winter, there is hardly anything in the lake.

Very windy- couldn’t get the tent up. lake was at 30% capacity and about a .25 mi walk to the water. The last 50 feet were straight down. We left within 90 mins of arrival.

We had loud neighbors that made lots of noise well beyond 10pm. One of the neighbor kids tried to steal our paddle board, and I caught him in the act. It’s really a shame.

Cow creek has become one of our families favorite stops. Great campground, Great Lake access, pretty views.

Very nice camp ground. Better to go earlier in the year. We went in early September. Not a good idea. Wind and rain the whole weekend. We will be going again. Just early to mid summer.

The views were gorgeous. I only wish we could have had a bonfire, but due to fire bans it was not possible for our trip this time around.
