What Guests Are Saying
Cow Creek South is a popular campground known for its beautiful views, great lake access, and well-maintained facilities. While some visitors experienced challenges with weather, noise from generators, and issues with dogs off-leash, the overall atmosphere is peaceful and clean, making it a favorite for families. Very nice camp ground. Better to go earlier in the year. We went in early September. Not a good idea. Wind and rain the whole weekend. We will be going again. Just early to mid summer.

The views were gorgeous. I only wish we could have had a bonfire, but due to fire bans it was not possible for our trip this time around.

Quite windy in evenings and a bit dusty, but really great access to the reservoir. This particular site wasn’t very flat and didn’t have any tree cover but was fairly private. 13, 18 and 19 looked better to me.

I called and asked if there was water and was told yes, but no water.

Quiet and lovely for a weekend. Clean bathrooms, great spots. I did have something large brush up against our tent around 1 in the morning. But we put all our food away so I felt a little better about it. Definitely do that. Great views of the stars and the reservoir was refreshing. Remember to bring all the water you need. But there are 2 towns relatively close to grab things you may have forgotten. Will definitely camp here again.

Beautiful views and spacious double campsite. We enjoyed listening to the cows across the lake with their morning Moo's. Last year we were able to fish right from the campsite, however this year the water level was down substantially and were unable to do so due to the steep rocky shoreline.

Campsite was well maintained and spaced out when I sleep between other adjacent sites. Convenient location to both Silverthorne and Kremmling.
