We were welcomed by someone that I guess managed the park. They were kind and thoughtful. We knew ahead that there would be no electrical, water or septic, so, we were prepared to be off grid. Our name was on the site number, so it made it easy to know where we belonged. The sites are fairly large and not right next to your neighbors. The are bathrooms, but just pit toilets. They were surprisingly clean and equipped with paper. The night stars were amazing and it was so very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our time. Would definitely go back.

Camp host (female) was very rude. My mom is handicapped and we parked by the dumpsters, where there were stop sticks, so my mom didn’t have to walk so far to the boat and she said we couldn’t park there. Not very catering to handicapped people. After Labor Day, we were pretty much the only campers there and she still wouldn’t let us park by the dumpsters to accommodate us. Not sure if we will be returning there next year with our large group.

Location was great, neighbors, not so much!
Ran generators all day. Not really the serine experience we were hoping for.

Beautiful reservoir, well maintained and great spacious site. Vault toilets are close and convenient and as clean as a vault toilet can be. It’s probably ideal if you are with the group in site 9 because there isn’t any barrier, or great opportunity to make friends! Water was high this year (compared to our last visit in 2022) so ‘beach’ is minimal in site 8 but perfect for water access and still tons of fun. Bring shade as there is none in this spot.

Overall a good site. There is no cell service whatsoever so if you need that you'll need to drive 15 minutes to Kermmling. Camp hosts were helpful. When we went the winds were really intense throughout the day; almost left a couple of times because of this but it died down in the evening. Bring your own shade because there isn't it. I did like there was a bear box to keep our food in.

Nice little campsite.
Extremely accessible which is pro and con depending on what you're looking for-- it's a few minute drive from the stores and shops on Lake Arrowhead and directly across from the hospital. Still super quiet at night but not silent.
Hot as hell while we were there.

Not sure what the point of the setting rules is if they don’t plan on enforcing them - kept my dogs on leash all weekend but had a German Shepard roaming around our campsite multiple times that we found out was from a campsite at least 4 sites away. Also had dogs running back and forth off leash up from us too. The entitlement of people and their “friendly dogs” is getting ridiculous.

Dogs off lease coming into our campsite and growling and threatening us from two different campsites. One was from four campsites away.. Felt unsafe after telling camp host, who told people to leash dogs. They knew it was us who complained. we left two nights early, One of our worst experiences in 50 years of camping. Who gives a s...t about rules?

Campground hosts cleaned the bathroom 3 times a day which was very nice. Great spot and would be even better if the water in the reservoir was higher.
Will note that was very very windy when we were there. We were lucky to have a spot that had bushes to block some of the wind but many of the others had no coverage at all.
