What Guests Are Saying
Cow Creek South is a popular campground known for its beautiful views, great lake access, and well-maintained facilities. While some visitors experienced challenges with weather, noise from generators, and issues with dogs off-leash, the overall atmosphere is peaceful and clean, making it a favorite for families. Many campers plan to return, especially during the summer months for a better experience.

Human feces at our site, right next to the bear bin and covered in toilet paper. The host was nowhere to be found. Horrible experience

5/5 stars! Mountain peak views and lake view. 30 min drive to Silverthorne for restaurants if you’re not big on cooking while camping.

Large spot (044) on South campground. 2 vehicle max can easily fit three tents, or two large campers. Large fire pit, TWO picnic tables !! Ground was flat and perfect. The campground was one of the cleanest we've ever been too, bathrooms our group kept saying was the cleanest they've seen. Camp host was great and welcoming too ! Firewood available for $8 cash or cashier's check. Went during 6/16/23 and the views were gorgeous, everything was green with all the rain. There is no trees at this spot, only shrubs, no privacy either as some of the other sites are close by --- all ppl at the campground respectful to dogs on leash and noises. Great for families too.

My campsite was in a beautiful spot and I had a wonderful time. I had a hard time setting up my tent, but Steve came by and helped me out, which was far above and beyond anything I would have expected. The bathrooms are clean and the camp sites are kept orderly. 10/10 experience, I will definitely be back!

A gorgeous place! We went first week of June a bit cold in the evenings but a couple days were gorgeous. Just happens to be a very rainy season here in CO!
