What Guests Are Saying
Cow Creek South is a popular campground known for its beautiful views, great lake access, and well-maintained facilities. While some visitors experienced challenges with weather, noise from generators, and issues with dogs off-leash, the overall atmosphere is peaceful and clean, making it a favorite for families. Many campers plan to return, especially during the summer months for a better experience.

the campsite manager, which is a young lady, was very friendly and customer focused.. she made many trips per day, to ensure that the bathrooms were in great shape and stocked. When a campsite was vacated the next day, she came and cleaned up what was left behind. She is a great asset to her company and hopefully is recognized for her efforts.. she definitely goes above and beyond.

We camped in the area where site 5 and 6 are, and it had great access to the water and nice, large open sites that you could fit multiple tents on. It was very exposed where we were though, so the wind was a problem at times (and it was just a rainy, cloudier weekend). It's an easy drive around the reservoir to the other side with fantastic hiking trails.

I loved it , we enjoyed the privacy of the site we stayed , nobody around us on a Monday /Tuesday. Bathroom was extra clean, the only struggle we had was the wind but we pulled it together and enjoyed every second of it .

Best campground I’ve stayed in recent memory! Beautiful scenery with plenty of spaces between campsites. Host was incredible and welcoming, will be staying again once open for the season!

Camp host was great. Site 1 is quiet and away from the other sites.

Large spread out campsites and extremely clean restrooms. We hit the fall colors just right and took a beautiful hike through the aspens at lower cataract lake. The camp host was very friendly and helpful.

This site has hands down the cleanest pit toilets I’ve ever seen! Based on the cleaning sheet, looks like they’re cleaned twice per day, and you can really tell!
Sites are mostly as shown and easy to find. Not that that only one or two of the sites have trees. We camped in September 2021 and the sun was brutal in the afternoon.
Camp ground hosts were friendly, too.
