Unfortunately the water level is very low right now so the spot we chose next to the water was not what we expected. It was a good 1/2 mile away from the shore instead. We also experienced bats flying around our campsite as soon as it was dusk which drive us into our tent sooner than we’d have liked.

Camp ground was nice and quiet unfortunately the reservoir was extremely low when I went in may 16-22, 2021. The grounds worker said that the peak time is in July when it is usually the most full. I did not see this on the website sadly. Also the bear lockers have not been delivered to the grounds as advertised on the website as of my trip. I would return to this campground again though

We booked site 4 and had the most amazing 360 view of mountains, as well as a fantastic view of the reservoir. The water levels were really low, but allowed us to walk further into the reservoir bed to look at plants and rocks. Best campground we (my partner and I) have been to. Easy access, although the campground road itself is gravel. Also spotty, but useable data/service for T-Mobile! The park rangers are the nicest people in the world here! 10/10 spot!

Great campground, beautiful views. It's relatively open so expect wind.

Even though the reservoir was down due to the time of year, it was still very pretty. We could only occasionally hear the highway in the distance, and the views in every direction were great. The spots we reserved were massive, with a fire ring and 2 picnic tables. And the pit toilets were spotless. I mean, spotless. The staff of this campground is constantly working, constantly doing something, and it showed. Well done, Cow Creek!

Campground host was lovely. She helped us with our campsite and had a ton of useful information about the campground. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Campsites aren’t very private. The beach is good if you have chairs. However, a really pleasant and beautiful spot.

The site is well maintained and the vaulted toilets are the cleanest I’ve seen at a campsite. We overall feel the campsite and check in process was great, but you can’t control who sets up camp next to you, and unfortunately we had some inconsiderate naked party people next to us that the rules seemed to not apply.
