Great bike trails and hiking trails. Close to Frisco. Nice sites and spread out from other sites.

This campground is biking distance to both frisco and dillon, and is beautiful. No problems.

The campsite was well kept with very clean bathrooms. It was quiet at night and the views were incredible.

The location was beautiful, but disappointed that the lake was mostly dry because of a drought. No one’s fault.

The last time we were at Heaton Bay was years ago and many of the trees had died from Pine Beetle I believe. So we just wanted a quick get away and decided to go there again anyway. This time there is all this beautiful new growth and it was full of pine trees and beautiful 360* views from our campsite. The lake was way down because of the drought but it was still beautiful. The bike trail is right off the campground so we used it daily. Also saw some bald eagles across from our campsite, that is always a treat. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon!

Lovely spot just up on a hill. Nice and quiet, white noise from the highway but not bad at all. Lots of space for a big tent, though I did accidentally book a walk in site so just pay attention.
