1. Site was very small and uneven. Not much room to park the car.
2. $9/night for our car because we didn’t tow it behind our motorhome. I included the car on our reservation, surprised we had to pay.
3. Clean bathrooms.
4. Close to parking lot on biking trail.
5. Convenient location to Frisco and Breck.
6. Nice view.

Really enjoyed our stay at Lowry. Helpful employees and nice quiet nights. Bathrooms and showers were a little dated, but clean. The nightly discussions lead by park employees were educational. We were lucky to have very clear nights - which made the astronomy presentation come to life. Only complaint is the overflowing dumpsters.

Lovely campground! Seems more geared towards RVs but we had a great time with a tent. This spot in particular was nice and close to the bathrooms and also had two trees for setting up a hammock (with XL straps).

Overall this campground was wonderful! Small, and quiet, with lots of space at the site we were at. Views of surrounding mountains gorgeous and just a quick walk or drive to see the lake.
The only thing that is something to consider is proximity to the pit toilets, as the smell was significant. Otherwise a 5 star stay.

I was only there 1 night and was traveling alone, but the host was accommodating and allowed me to change my spot to an open spot closer to the bathrooms. Nice area and very quiet. Clean, well maintained

Getting There
From I-70, take exit 205. Travel east on Highway 6 towards Keystone,
Colorado, for approximately 3 mi. Turn right on Swan Mountain Road and
proceed 1.5 mi to the Lowry Campground sign. Turn left and proceed
a half mile to the campground.
Highway access
Lowry Campground is accessible from I-70 via exit 205, approximately 3 miles east on Highway 6, which leads towards Keystone, Colorado.

General
- Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Body contact with Dillon Reservoir prohibited, including swimming, water skiing, jetskiing and scuba diving
- All food, beverages, trash and scented items must be properly stored when not attended. Bear-proof food lockers are provided at each site and bear-proof trash receptacles are provided at the campground.
- Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
- In accordance with standard industry practices, there will be an additional vehicle fee per day on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicles in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered as one vehicle for determining additional vehicle fees. The third and fourth motorcycle would also be considered as one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.
- Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Any accepted senior passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.

- Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This prevents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on Saturday.
- Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day.
- It is imperative that you are clear from the site on your check out day so the host can come prepare the site for the next event. Please don't be the group that makes the incoming group have to wait.
