About Lowry Campground

At an elevation of 9,320 feet, Lowry Campground is located between Summit Cove and Breckenridge, Colorado in the White River National Forest. This campground is in close proximity to Dillon Reservoir and a handful of trails, making it an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation. Loved the campground and the location. It was close to town which was convenient at times, but the campground felt remote. The site was walk in, which I didn't realize when I booked, but it ended up being perfect once I got settled in. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful camp site with great views. Pit toilets were spotless. Friendly hosts. Great location— quiet but close to Frisco and Dillon. All around, a great experience.

Sites are very tight! You have to fill your water tanks before getting to the campground and though it's not that far away it is still a pain when maneuvering a trailer around. A little blurb on the web site would have been nice.

Camp hosts were great,
Bathrooms were really clean. However, the light for the one closest to our site was out.

Beautiful scenic campground! Easy to access and very close to frisco, and it’s very well maintained. Other than disruptive neighbors we had a lovely time!

I stayed in the middle site of the three walk in tent sites. There was no where flat or level to pitch my tent. The ground is covered in lumpy rodent tunnels and mounded up dirt. I had to go into the trees and clear a spot and it was just barely big enough for my two person tent. If I had arrived in the dark I don't know what I would have done.

Our reserved site was occupied when we arrived at 3:00 pm. No one was in the trailer, just a barking dog. We left and found a site in Peak One. It is a very crowded and ugly campground. We were glad to have an excuse to leave and request a refund (which we received).
