Heaton Bay was close to Dillon for shopping and restaurans. It is close for hiking and off road in the Breckenridge area. The camp ground was clean and bathrooms were clean. Over all a very nice location.

This is the 3rd year I've stayed at Heaton Bay. The campsite is always clean and ready. I spend a few days tent camping and hiking, and the location near Frisco is great for reaching many good hikes within 60 minutes. Also, Frisco has a really nice multi-building museum that i well worth the time.

Enjoyed our stay as always. The sad thing was the water level of the lake was too low to take our paddle boards out this summer. We usually stay here since we can put in from our campsite. But otherwise the campground was great, clean bathrooms, plenty of TP, quiet campers since it was mid-week. This is our bougie campground since it has paved roads - definitely cuts down on the dust.

I enjoyed my stay. I was in the campground with electric and water. Note that the information for the campground does not say that there is water, but there is. Being able to bike directly from the campground is huge and everything you need is close by. There was a bit of road noise but not a deal breaker for me.

Stayed at Heaton Bay C loop. Had one night reserved and Kenzie was able to find a second night on electric loop fir us. Outhouses were clean and did not smell.

From I-70, take Frisco exit to 203. Turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road.
Travel northeast for 1 mile. The campground will be on the right hand side
of the road.
