Jenna and Sierra at the office were the best. They are why I chose to stay

It was LOUD. Maybe it was because it was NYE. But even then, the peace of the woods and outdoors when you’re camping is preferable to someone’s music being at full volume and disturbing the peace for hours. It did stop when quiet time began. But until then, the noise took over our evening. The area is beautiful though. And the campground is good. The campers around just weren’t very respectful of others. And it would have been helpful if someone who worked there had been able to bring the volume down a little. But it’s a public place so we understand that things won’t always be perfect! We would give it another try though, as we really did think it was a nice park.

The park was beautiful, camping spaces were clean and mostly private. The bath houses were all clean as well as the dishwashing area. We loved swimming in the spring. Unfortunately we didn’t see any critters. My only complaint is I wish there was some security at night. We were woke up at two AM by screaming, yelling and extremely loud music being played. Most people go to a national park to relax not to hear club music and yelling.

We were in loop B our campsite was very spacious. The bathroom was clean. It was too cold to swim in the springs, but the water looked very nice. The trails for hiking were closed due to needing repaired. I was really looking forward to be able to hike. The wash sink area in between the men and the women’s bathroom was shut down and locked. I was also told that it needed to be repaired and that if we wanted to wash any of our camping dishes, we had to go to a different loop which was an inconvenience. I feel that every loop should have their own working bathrooms and wash sink area . We probably will not go back to this park until the trails are open and definitely will not be staying in loop B if we do go back because I have to have someplace to wash my Camping dishes.

The grounds are very beautiful. The staff was mostly very respectful and helpful, but I was a bit frustrated that the bear box for our site was not properly functioning. Luckily the next door site was absent so we were able to use that bear box, but we were not assured that we could use it the whole time. They were willing to give us a plastic box, but that would not properly secure our food unless we put something heavy on it. I also was frustrated that they charge $12 per person to use the day use facility, and they had not repaired the board walk path around the springs for the last 2 years. How can they charge that much money and not have the resources to fix the boardwalk?
