The grounds are very beautiful. The staff was mostly very respectful and helpful, but I was a bit frustrated that the bear box for our site was not properly functioning. Luckily the next door site was absent so we were able to use that bear box, but we were not assured that we could use it the whole time. They were willing to give us a plastic box, but that would not properly secure our food unless we put something heavy on it. I also was frustrated that they charge $12 per person to use the day use facility, and they had not repaired the board walk path around the springs for the last 2 years. How can they charge that much money and not have the resources to fix the boardwalk?

One of my favorite places for the last 50 years! Snorkeling, off-road bike riding, hiking...and beautiful campground with big shaded sites.

Our family loves camping and we've been at Ocala National Forest several times. Alexander Springs is a very nice campground and offers great hiking and canoeing.

Enjoyed the peace and quite after 10pm. There were some loud individuals in the park, but, the host took care of the incident and all was calm after 10pm. The young lady that works in the afmissions gate was so polite, nice and knowledgeable. She was very professional. The whole staff was si polite and courteous that we will return.

I stayed in the D Loop and it was wonderful. The site was clean and ready when we arrived. Multiple bathroom facilities were available. The site itself was large and easy to access. The firepit was large and had an attached grill as well as a separate grill and trash container on the site to keep the critters away. I definitely will return.
