Very quiet location, small campground with good hiking right from the campground.
Bathrooms clean and nice hot showers.
Unfortunately we were there during deer season and it’s a very popular hunting location.

It's easy to find via GPS. Road is a little bumpy coming in but not that bad. We were greeted by the camp host as we entered the campground ground. She confirmed our spot number and explained some of the basic rules for the federal park. Once we had completed setup of our campsite and rig we walk around the one mile loop of camel lake. The lake trail is an easy walk and takes less than 30 minutes. There were tent campers next to us so we minimized the generator use and shut it down for the remainder of the evening. March day I'm just waiting for one night but I'm gonna be back for a longer stay hence there are more trails to explore as well as Camel lake to fish.

Campground itself is beautiful. No laundry. 2 mile long road leading to campground is full of pot holes, Boulder size rocks that are used to fill holes. Very difficult to pull a trailer over.

Very well managed, peaceful, woodsy, small, clean campground with a very nice mile long trail around the pond. Bathroom was clean, shower was OK. The only downside for me was the total lack of Verizon cell service - spotty phone/zero data.

For starters the amenities for this locations were excellent. Secured trash cans were everywhere. The bathrooms were neat and this is an excellent quiet get away.
