Me and my family camped out for the whole weekend and let me tell you the best! The bathroom was fully stocked and clean. The sites were nice and clean, the host was absolutely amazing Wendi she is part of family I consider she is just that kind of person with great hospitality. As soon as I pulled into the camp grounds I pulled up to the host station and she greeted me with a warm smile, I told her I was looking for site 10 that this was our first camping trip as a family so she made it extra special offered my family fry fire wood for our hotdogs and s’mores and she gave us a tarp to keep our tents from getting damaged then here came a huge rain storm and flooded our tents because the camp site set low so all the water ran down into our tents she then offered the dryer for use so we could dry our bedding and continue our camping adventure. We fed her dinner like part of the family she is a great host and can’t wait for other adventures there, we have visited Camel lake numerous times and past hostess and they stayed in their rv never came out unless they were talking at you for being past the rope swimming since the water was so low in the beach area to be able to swim . We was on tubes and got yelled at by some old couple the was the host then this is where my family come to have birthday celebrations and now camping for sure, Wendi is awesome and my family loves her

What a great off the beaten path and deep into the forest. We had site #1 with water and electric which also offered us a great view of the lake/pond and evening sunsets. The bathroom/shower is very close and well maintained yet dated. This is a small loop of campsites with only 5 having electric connection. The camping area is about 2 miles down a rough gravel road. There is a camp host on site if needed. There is no cell coverage to speak of and no OTA TV. Closest town is Bristol with limited services. We travel over to Apalachicola, FL and took a trip over to St George's Island to view the lighthouse. We will definitely camp here again.

Camel Lake is beautiful. The biggest downfall besides not having great cell service was the yellow flies. They were really bad around Memorial Day weekend. The shower is interesting as you have to keep pushing the button to turn it on and shower. The sites are nice and have a grill as well as fire ring. The lake is nice as was the trail we walked around it.

Wendy and Bill , camp host were very friendly and had all the tricks and knowledge you need to stay in this area. Location was beautiful but very hot in early June. We enjoyed our stay.

The two mile stretch of road getting there (once you turn off the highway) is absolutely terrible. It’s gravel with multiple areas that look like there have been wash outs and they contain sharp rocks so you have to go very very slow. Our vehicles were filthy when we finally arrived. The actual park is ok—site numbers are hard to see. We helped a couple of other campers find their site.

Beautiful cg. But has maintenance issues. Grass need cutting, beach has eroded, signage is poor, and a dump station needs to be installed. Host was great!

We love Camel Lake, first two nights had it to ourselves. Don't like to talk about it too much so it does not fill up and we can't get a spot. Forrest Rd in is always 2 miles of hell but the destination is worth it.

This campground is beautiful! Lots of trees and bike /walking trails. The sites are large and well maintained. The hosts on site during our visit, Ray and Kathy, were wonderful and friendly. They kept those bathrooms very clean!

The drive into the park was a 2 mile drive. Lots of mud because it was raining. Lots of deep pot holes. Once inside park very nice. Host was very friendly. Draw back no dump station. Swimming area nice. Lots of tv channels, but no phone service.
