Glen was a great camp host! He was so nice and his dog Ruby is adorable. He is a very hard worker and kept the bathrooms and showers in great condition. He loaded our fire pit up a few times with pine cones, which was very nice since they burn good and get the fire going. I would definitely stay at this campground again if I’m ever passing through. The campground felt safe and is very clean. It also has beautiful scenery.

This is such a great place! Quiet and clean. The grounds were amazingly manicured. The camp host was very nice and accommodating. We will definitely be going back. Hopefully for a longer period of time.

Excellent Pet Friendly Small Campground on undeveloped lake. The Campground is the only thing on the lake. Definitely a hidden gem for those looking for a quite getaway. Small Beach, boat launch and hiking trails around the lake provides plenty of recreation opportunities. The sites are well spaced out with water and electric hook ups. There is a bathhouse and dump station on site. The 2-mile dirt road entrance has a lot of potholes but is very manageable. I used my Merlin Bird App and there were 8 different species singing in the morning walking my dog. For a full review and pictures check out our post on @kampingwithkona

The camp sites were very large and well kept. The camp host took very good care of the facilities and was always moving around the site making sure there were no issues. We brought our kayaks to use on the lake and the trails were well maintained for hiking. The only negative thing is the forestry service was doing a controlled burn so it was Smokey. There was no signage or alerts this was going to happen and some tent campers left because they could not stand the smoke

Our stay at Camel Lake Campground was great. There are only 10 sites, so it was very intimate. The lake was beautiful, the site was a pull-thru and roomy.

Very nice campground. Kept tidy. Restrooms and showers were decent. Someone complained while we were there about them saying they were messy (a little forest debris 🙄). Not easy to keep them perfect when you are in a forest environment and there are backpackers sneaking in to use them. They were just fine.
The camp host checked on us and told us to not hesitate to let him if we needed him. Very nice man. His dog, Ruby, was also very welcoming 😃
The only thing is the two mile dirt road into the campground. Some potholes need attention, but that was the only thing we would like to improve. There is a nice hiking trail around the lake. We enjoyed a very peaceful two weeks there.
