Camel Lake is a great getaway. The sites are large and several have a view of the Lake. There is a great path that circumvents the lake that you can walk or ride your bike. There is a swimming beach. The shower and bathrooms are clean. Ricky and Kaye were phenomenal hosts with all kinds of information about the area.

Peaceful place, nice facility. The location is just remote enough to where you do not hear sounds of traffic and civilization. Lake is pretty and clear.
Chris, the host on duty was very helpful and welcoming. We will come back in spring since we could not swim with weather in 30s.

A nice small, quaint Campground with 10 sites available. Small hiking trail that goes around the lake. Verizon Wireless signal was spotty at best.

Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, quiet, and plenty of room between campsites. The camp managers were very, very nice and helpful. This was a perfect experience. We definitely will go back.

10 sites, only 4 with hookups, 2+ miles into the woods by a lake. Who could ask for a better place to camp? Quiet, secluded, large sites, plenty of trail and dirt roads to walk.

Beautiful secluded spot, plenty of room in between campsites. Next to lake with trail around it. Very nice and helpful camp host. We'll be back again!

Camel Lake campground was a very beautiful, peaceful campground. The camp hosts were very helpful and nice. The only drawback is there is no sewer hook ups or RV dump. Otherwise, really nice spot back in the Appalachicola National Forest.

Beautiful, quiet spot; facilities not great and not well maintained; when we arrived on a Saturday it looked already bad and they were only cleaned noticeably on Monday

Beautiful area. Limited cell coverage and the forest service road was a bit rough. Nice trail around the lake and star gazing was great. The campground hosts were very friendly.

Scenic setting with sunsets over the lake, campsites are spaced nicely, facilities were clean, and the campground host was delightful and very helpful with recommendations for activities and destinations.
