Camel Lake is a very small campground, 10 sites, I believe. There is a 2 mile dirt road to the campground. It feels very isolated so keep that in mind. A few sites have water and electric, but not all. There is no dumping station. The bathrooms were clean. The walking path around the lake was very enjoyable.

This is a really nice, small campground. The lake is awesome. The road going in is a little rough and dirt road. The showers would not stay on more than a few seconds at a time, but nice hot water. The bathhouse is kept clean. The camp host are very nice and helpful.

The campground is peaceful and quiet. The sites are large. The camp host was friendly and helpful.
A dump station would be nice and be careful on the rough road coming in.

We really enjoy this campground. The bathrooms were pristine, the hosts were friendly and right on top of things. The setting is beautiful. We enjoyed walking the trails around the lake and parts of the Florida Trail. It was very quiet. The electric addition seems a lot for the very little we used (in a slide-in truck camper) and the total price seems high for no dump on site. On the web it said electric was $5 but when we called to make our reservation, we were charged $10. We were not happy about that.

A pristine beautiful setting! It’s peaceful and quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. The camp hosts were extremely nice and informative about the area too. We just loved it!

Such a beautiful place to camp, friendly helpful camp host, level sites, for star gazers, no light pollution so the stars were really bright there ... only downside is no dump station.

Camp Host was great. A friendly, knowledgeable guy with a great sense of humor. He kept the facilities clean, campground secure, trash cans empty— he and his wife did a great job. I will return, and I hope to see them again.

Well kept campground, friendly hosts and beautiful area. Secluded and far from anywhere but this can also be considered a plus. Lake is beautiful as well and the beach is great. The showers could use an update (especially the faucets), but overall sufficient and serviceable.
