What Guests Are Saying
Burns Lake Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and dark skies for stargazing. The campground features spacious, primitive tent sites with lovely views of the lake and access to wildlife and hiking trails. While some visitors noted minor issues, such as noise from nearby campers and basic facilities, the friendly camp host and overall serene atmosphere contribute to a positive camping experience.

Rv-ers with generators across the lake were clearly audible and annoying. Only certified quiet generators should be allowed. No commercial generators. At least they respected the quiet hours.

I love Florida. This is my first time staying at Big Preserve and specifically Burns Lake campground. We couldn’t have a better weather, clear night full of stars as there was no moon. Campsite is clean and even when is primitive we had no water or mirror needs. You can breath tranquility. We camped with 6 families of my Girl Scout Troop. Guided swamp by rangers were the highlight of our stay. It was fun, educational, and inspiring to the kids and parents. The ranger’s knowledge amazed me.
Crazy to camp again in the same place, highly recommended
