What Guests Are Saying
Burns Lake Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and dark skies for stargazing. The campground features spacious, primitive tent sites with lovely views of the lake and access to wildlife and hiking trails. While some visitors noted minor issues, such as noise from nearby campers and basic facilities, the friendly camp host and overall serene atmosphere contribute to a positive camping experience.

We loved this campground even though there were no services. Beautiful spot on the lake, quiet and convenient to other destinations. Loved walking around the small lake. We would visit again.

Burns Lake never disappoints, it's beautiful & it is quiet. The only problem that I noticed there on my last visit, and I have NEVER seen this before, people are now (obviously allowed to) camp with their smaller camping rigs in the TENTS only sites. TENTS only should mean TENTS only. These larger & heavier rigs are tearing up the ground, making the grass turn to dirt & mud.

I was expecting a fairly primitive experience, but this was basically back country camping. The road to access the campground was not much better than a logging road.

Needed a site for one night for our trip from Key West to St. Pete. This was perfect. Quiet, easy to reach.

Very nice stay. We had a spot for 2 weeks in the RV area. No issues with anyone. Peaceful, quiet, friendly. Perfect stay for an off-the-grid vacation. *This is not a reflection of the campsite but be aware cell service is limited at best!*

Closest dump sites are west at the game check at Dona Drive and east at Midway cg. All was good.
