What Guests Are Saying
Burns Lake Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and dark skies for stargazing. The campground features spacious, primitive tent sites with lovely views of the lake and access to wildlife and hiking trails. While some visitors noted minor issues, such as noise from nearby campers and basic facilities, the friendly camp host and overall serene atmosphere contribute to a positive camping experience.

Spacious tentsites, lovely neigbors, very few campers. The tentsites are on west side of Burns Lake and when tent door faces the lake, beautiful sunrises can be experienced. Very quiet place. Crows come visiting the picnic tables at 6:30 am to see what’s left on them. They make a pretty good racket, not concerned about disturbing late sleepers.

The site is great. Stars are all over the sky from this location. If you are OK with dry camping this place is outstanding.

Quiet, quiet and quiet. Relaxing weekend. Noisiest neighbor was an Owl who liked to stop bye just before sunrise each morning. The toilets were clean. Nice place to stay a little bit off the beaten path.

I have camped at this campground several times in past years. They keep raising the rate, but I don't see many improvements for the additional cost. I think the camping fee is high for what is offered. There is a lot of general traffic driving through the campground due to misleading signs that state there is back country access at the campground. The site I was in was muddy and I tracked dirt all the way out to the main road when I left campground.

We loved that the campground was away from hwy 41. This separation made the campground very quiet and enjoyable. Burns Lake campground is close to Shark Valley park where you can enjoy a 15 mile loop bike ride. Another plus is that Burns Lake campground is in between Miami and Naples both big cities with plenty to do.

A gem of a campground! Dark skies and quiet nights, quite a ways off the road. And the camp hosts were awesome and super helpful! Highly recommend!

I pulled up to my reserved spot (Site 14) at around 7pm. There was a camper and his girlfriend set up. To avoid being a complete jerk and asking campers who had already set up camp to move. I decided to stay the night at the day use spot next to the bathrooms. I decided against setting up in another empty site, I didn’t set up there due to the fact that it may have been a reserved site. Staying next to the restroom was not the best experience for obvious reasons. I made a loop in hopes of talking to a campsite manager but there was not anyone on site.
