Burns Lake Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and dark skies for stargazing. The campground features spacious, primitive tent sites with lovely views of the lake and access to wildlife and hiking trails. While some visitors noted minor issues, such as noise from nearby campers and basic facilities, the friendly camp host and overall serene atmosphere contribute to a positive camping experience.

Ground was very muddy and tons of mosquitos. Booked for 2 nights seated within 5 hours. The kids a week later still has the bites all over their bodies. We had thermal cells, off bug spry, off candles. Kids mosquito bracelets. We used red lights for visibility. Horrible waste of money. Plus we had a gator that kept trying to attack us.

I like this campground. On a small lake. No facilities except pit toilets, but close to hiking, biking and kayaking trails. Only problem is folks run their generators all day long and late into the evening. I wish generators hours were more restricted.

Burns Lake was a quiet, family, primitive campground, convenient for exploring in Everglades, Naples and Marco Island. The sites are large, some have more privacy than others, but all are lakeside. Hosts were very friendly and nice, bugs not bad, not too far off Tamiami Trail. I think I had a little Verizon signal. Solo van camper one week night in mid February. I would camp there again.

They had just done a prescribed burn so the east side of the campground was charred and ugly. The sites for RVs had no shade and there was no electricity. But if you want a campground in Big Cypress National Preserve that is accessible to RVs there are few options. Also, the cell phone service was almost non-existent.
