What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

We did two nights in our 40ft motorhome with a toad. had to disconnect. All sights are back-in. Great place to stay for a visit to the everglades nation park and the big cypress nation preserve. there are other attractions available which we did not do. No showers at this location but you can go eight miles to another campground and use their showers.

Midway Campground in the Everglades facilities are clean and the landscaping is very well kept. The volunteer camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Ed - Wheaton Illinois

We really enjoyed the campground itself for the 10 days we stayed. It was a good place to relax a bit and unwind in the warmth. The only thing that made the trip unenjoyable was one of the campground hosts, Lola. We felt like we were not welcome when she was “on duty”, she also made us feel like it was a 55 and older campground (we have kids and kids are not the most tidy). Having done my fair share of camping throughout my life in various states across the US, I have never come across a campground host that was on a power trip like she was.

As others have mentioned, this an EXCELLENT spot for a quick one night stop. However, it is a good stop to take a couple days to explore "Alligator Alley."

No AT&T, no water or dumping at sites. Nice campgrounds. Watch out for speed trips

I mistakenly made reservations at a different park, didn't realize it till I pulled into Midway. The host was very nice, but stated that she could not help me fix my mistake, and it must be done online. Well, Midway is in the middle of nowhere and I had no internet. I asked her if I could just rent a site from her, and again she said no as it all has to be done online. I've stayed at Midway a few times before, liked it. But in the future I will find somewhere else because of this.
